Its a Boy or Girl | What Baby Are you Expecting? Are you SURE?

Most parents don't like the idea of finding out their baby sex, that's if they love surprises. But I tell you it can be very hard to not find out when you know the information is just a doctors appointment away.

We also have those parents who will not waste time in trying to speculate, they will rather find out then and start telling everyone that "We are having a baby girl or a baby boy".

Then there is this set of parents who will go for a baby ultrasound & find out whether its a boy or girl. But later, on the birth date discover that the ultrasound was wrong. You have delivered the opposite from what you thought you were carrying the whole 9 months.

Surprises do happen. My friend went for a Baby Ultrasound when she was pregnant and the doctor tolled her she was having a baby girl. We were all excited for her, and went and bought pink baby clothes and all the staff that a girl will need.

To our surprise when she gave birth on the 25 of August, she sent a birth announcement that said, she has a baby boy!

Now you can imagine how drastically that must have been when she was tooled "its a boy". I imagine something like "no mine is a girl, there must have been a mistake".

How do does a mother cope with this?

If you are expecting a baby, its obvious that you have to prepare your baby room, baby furniture, baby name, baby accessories, or even baby named clothes. And like my friend she had already prepared everything.

But when you get to the labor ward and finding out that the ultrasound lied about you baby being a boy or girl. What happens? I know this is a very rare mistake that often happens, but the truth it does happen.

Our advice to moms to be is ... don't only stick to one doctors opinion about your ultrasound results. Keep confirming. Even if you have to go to up 4 times baby ultrasounds, fine. After this there is nothing really anybody can do. All you have to do is just accept that you have a fine and healthy baby. That's all that matters right? You just wanted a baby...

Many parents can go to the extreme trying to sew the doctor who did the ultrasound or sue the hospital. But I dont think you should waist your time and energy on that. If you rewind that's is how it was in the olden days, parents and family use to but white baby clothes because they didn't know what baby it was going to be. I guess technology makes and builds us!
